Ingredients

  • 1 pound high-quality ground lamb, at room temperature
  • ¼ cup finely sliced fresh basil
  • ⅓ cup chopped rehydrated sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Cooking Directions

  1. Combine ground lamb, basil, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix well using your hands. Form into 4 equal-sized patties.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and allow to get hot. Add lamb burgers. Cook 5 minutes and flip burgers. Continue cooking until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads at least 160 degrees F (71 degrees C), about 5 minutes more.
To rehydrate sun-dried tomatoes, bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat. Add sun-dried tomatoes and allow to sit for about 5 minutes. Remove sun-dried tomatoes from water, pat dry, and chop into small pieces.
