He says that because he knows it is not always the healthiest and is often greasy, something you would eat with a drink at a bar or a party. There is time for pleasure food, and then there's the other time to eat healthy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground lean turkey
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 2 egg whites
  • ½ yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, or as needed

Cooking Directions

  1. Combine turkey, onion, egg whites, bell pepper, jalapeno, tomato paste, garlic, paprika, and salt in a bowl. Form into about 18 patties.
  2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Coat bottom with oil. Pan-fry the patties in batches until no longer pink in the centers, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
